Some days hurt more than others.
On the worst ones, it feels like I’m barely holding myself together—like I’m standing in the middle of a storm with no shelter, just trying to stay upright while everything spins around me. My mind doesn’t rest. It races, circles, tangles itself into knots I can’t undo. Thoughts crash into each other so loudly that I can’t tell which ones are real anymore.
I start questioning everything.
What I remember. What I felt. What I know.
I catch myself wondering if I imagined it all—if maybe I built this whole story in my head, if maybe things were never as broken as they felt. There’s a voice that whispers that I’m the problem, that I’m overreacting, that I’ve made something out of nothing.
But deep down, beneath the noise, there’s another voice. Quieter, but steady. It reminds me: it wasn’t just me. It wasn’t perfect. It wasn’t okay.
And that’s where the war begins.
Because the louder voice keeps pushing, twisting, distorting everything until I don’t recognise my own truth anymore. It makes me feel like I’m losing my grip, like I’m slipping into something I won’t be able to come back from. Like I’m becoming someone I don’t want to be.
I see it in the moments I can’t control myself—when the anger spills over before I can stop it, when I snap, when I shout, when I say things without thinking. It’s like watching myself from the outside, knowing it’s not who I am, but not being able to pull myself back in time.
And every time it happens, it feels like I’m losing.
Like this is a game I never agreed to play, but somehow I’m still in it—and I’m not the one winning.
I don’t even want to win.
I just want it to stop.
I keep asking the same questions, over and over, like there should be an answer by now: When does it end? How many rounds are there? Is there a point where it finally breaks me completely, and that’s the finish line?
Because right now, I feel done.
Not dramatic. Not exaggerated. Just… done.
Tired of fighting something I can’t see. Tired of defending truths that keep getting rewritten. Tired of feeling like I’m losing pieces of myself in a game I never chose.
I don’t want another round. I don’t want another fight.
I just want to put it down.
Lay it all to rest. Raise a white flag—not as defeat, but as a choice.
A choice to step out of the chaos. A choice to stop playing by rules that were never fair. A choice to believe, even quietly, that my voice—the one underneath all the noise—is still mine.
